Learning shouldn’t be limited to the school calendar. Smarter Bees offers flexible, personalized tutoring in reading, math, Wilson Reading, IEPs, and more, throughout the school year and summer. Whether your learner needs review, enrichment, or extra preparation for the next grade, we keep minds buzzing year-round.
General Tutoring
At Smarter Bees, we help learners take flight with strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. Our tutoring builds confidence in phonics, comprehension, and grammar, turns tricky numbers into stepping stones for problem-solving, and directly supports students' IEP academic goals with individualized, compassionate guidance. Using research-based methods tailored to each learner, our hive helps students tackle challenges with curiosity and pride.

Wilson Tutoring
With certified Wilson Reading System® instruction, Smarter Bees offers structured, research-based reading support for students who need an extra lift. Our lessons focus on decoding, fluency, and spelling through direct, multisensory instruction rooted in the science of reading. We help struggling readers find their wings and develop the skills needed for lasting success. This program starts with learners in second grade.

Homework and Skill Boost
Busy Bee sessions are a new offering designed to provide short, focused support for homework completion and skill practice in reading, writing, and math. They reinforce classroom learning, encourage organization and task follow‑through, and build learner confidence.
Created with accessibility in mind, these sessions offer a practical option for families who may prefer a lighter commitment than our full‑length services. Busy Bee sessions are ideal for consistent reinforcement rather than intensive intervention.

IEP Goals
Every bee in our hive deserves a learning plan that fits their unique needs. Smarter Bees provides goal-driven tutoring that directly supports students’ IEP academic goals. With individualized attention, structured lessons, and compassionate guidance, we help learners make meaningful progress and build confidence one step at a time.

Educational Consulting
From IEP and 504 support to homeschool planning, Smarter Bees helps families navigate the school journey with clarity and confidence. We review and revise IEPs and 504 plans, evaluate current programs, and advocate for your child at school meetings, while building customized learning plans around your child's specific goals. We also coach parents and guardians with tailored strategies and help keep communication buzzing between home and school, including support for families choosing to homeschool. Every relationship starts with a free 15-minute consultation to find the right fit for your family.
